At first glance it might look like A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) reunion since 3 of the 4 Lubbock Babes starred in one. But Just the Ten of Us was a spin-off of the highly popular Growing Pains (1985-1992) and an ABC TGIF pioneer. A regular timeslot winner, fans were bewildered when it was abruptly cancelled in 1990. Unfortunately, it was not produced by Lorimar Television, like the other three TGIF shows and was taken off the air to make room for its fourth - Heather Locklear's shitcom Going Places. Despite it's catchy theme song, it only lasted a season and the premature cancellation of Just The Ten of Us joined the long list of bad executive decisions.

Warner Ranch
Before Coach Lubbock heads West, his apartment building is shown in the backdoor pilot on Growing Pains. It is briefly shown again in the opening credits of Just The Ten Of Us, which taped on the ranch. All the facades were torn down in 2024 so I was only able to get a shot from the street, but Robert at Set-Jetter.com was fortunate to visit several years ago...
