Ryan Murphy's anthology series got off to a strong start with Murder House. Dr. Ben Harmon relocates his family from Boston to Los Angeles to begin a new chapter. Unfortunately the house they move into is haunted by it's former residents.
Murder House is a convoluted, creepy yet captivating horror story fulling equipped with a disturbing opening credit sequence and a foreboding location. Jessica Lange is rightfully lauded for her role as the Machiavellian Constance Landon, stealing every scene she's in. The inaugural season was received warmly by critics and fans (though Coven remains my personal favorite) and has reared it's ugly head for the current season.
