NBC feared for it's Thursday night 10pm slot when L.A. Law went off the air in the spring of 1994. Michael Crichton came to the rescue with ER, a captivating drama about the lifesavers in a Chicago emergency room. The show ran an impressive 15 seasons and was critic and Emmy fave. I watched the show for several seasons, but do not own on it DVD so there are no comparison shots as of now.
