Madonna - Material Girl (1985)

Material Girl - the song title that became Madonna's longstanding nickname, much to her dismay.  After being nearly decapitated by a Venice canal bridge in her Like A Virgin video, Madonna copies Marilyn Monroe reinvents herself by dousing herself in diamonds and being pursued by a bunch of men, a few approaching AARP territory.  Off screen, she only had eyes for Sean Penn, whom she met while filming the video.
