Problem Child 2 (1991)

Problem Child (1990) Junior Healy is back and this time he's met his match. After the events of the first film, Junior and his father Ben relocate to Mortville, Oregon to start a new life. Ben quickly takes to Junior's school nurse, Annie, while Junior spars with her menacing daughter Trixie. The two constantly try and outdo each other in the prank department but ultimately unite to get their parents together.

When Problem Child grossed over 50 million dollars, Universal didn't see a problem with making a sequel. While that always seems to be a good idea, the end result can be... problematic. While I did enjoy the first film, I didn't think it was exactly a strong building block for a sequel. Having Amy Yasbeck back as a completely different character was odd and giving Gilbert Godfried more lines is never a good idea. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) terminated any chance of Problem Child 2 claiming the top spot at the 4th of July weekend box office. The film fared okay, though it only made half of its predecessor, which is why Problem Child 3: Junior in Love was made for television four years later.

Former MTV VJ Martha Quinn was in demand during the early 90s. First she landed the plumb ;-) role of Bobby Brady's uber-annoying wife on The Bradys (1990). Then she lands a line worthy enough to be in the trailer of Problem Child 2. Take that Nina Blackwood!
