The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

Originally I had planned on seeing Superman Returns, but since it was sold out, the only other choice was The Devil Wears Prada.  I somehow missed every preview and had not heard of the film.  Not thrilled about being dragged to a movie I knew nothing about, I was pleasantly surprised after leaving the theater.   Meryl Streep is Miranda Priestly - the quintessential boss from hell.  She makes life miserable for her bright-eyed, go-getting assistant Andy Sachs until she's cerulean in the face.  Emily Blunt steals every scene she's in as Andy's bitchy co-worker.  The Devil Wears Prada is a rollercoaster ride through the fashion world that coutures ;-)  to audiences of all ages.  That's all.
The Devil Wears Prada was filmed in New York, NY and Paris, France

  1. Surprised to find no comments! This is one of my favorite movies and an absolute love story to NYC. We lived at 40 E 19th St for 20 years and were there when this was filmed...the restaurant where Andy meets her dad was not on 19th Street (Craft) but was on Broadway between 19th and 20th, next door to Beecher's Cheese...I think it was called Craftbar at that time and had a huge glass enclosed wine storage along the entire north wall. I used to get the meatballs when I pregnant in 2003...before I became a vegetarian, lol. We also used to get omelettes at Mayrose almost every weekend, and my husband worked at the Elias Clark building on 6th Avenue for about 12 years! Kismet.
