The Halliwell Sisters are good witches possessing enormous power. Together, Prue, Piper and Phoebe ban together to protect the citizens of The Golden Gate City with their gifts of telekinesis, molecular immobilization and premonitions. An endless parade of demons and warlocks descended upon the siblings until a greater evil - The Source of All Evil, wreaked havoc. Prue meets her untimely demise of the Source's personal assassin. Enter half-sister Paige with her teleportation power. The Halliwell Sisters carried on and continued to battle any wicked spirits that crossed their path.
TV producer Aaron Spelling reunites with Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000) star Shannen Doherty for the first primetime series about a coven of witches, which was for a time, also the longest running television series starring all women. A witch's curse seemed to have been placed on Spelling and Doherty's working relationship, as Shannen was fired after three seasons, seemingly at the behest of co-star and Who's The Boss? (1984-1992) alum Alyssa Milano. Enter Scream (1996) star Rose McGowan to fill in the empty space around the cauldron. The series continued for five more seasons though it lost the favorable reviews from the earlier ones. To this day, I'm not sure why Stevie Nicks didn't sing the theme song.
