The trials and tribulations of plane crash survivors was a breakout series from the 2004-2005 season. A little bit Survivor, a little bit Gilligan's Island (1964-1967), Lost quickly found ;-) viewer and critic approval. I tuned in for a few episodes pre-Tivo, but then missed a few weeks and got... lost. I never had the desire to catch up so I remember practically nothing except something about a polar bear.

Five Guys. Not the hamburger chain. Five horndogs who chip in for a high end fuckpad for their mistresses and hookups. Seems like the ideal plan until one conquest ends up dead and handcuffed to the bed. Finger pointing and accusations ensue amongst the morally bankrupt in between an endless frenzy of flashbacks, giving the viewer plenty of time to realize that the least threatening thus most obvious sleazoid is the one most likely to have to make a prison break ;-)
The Loft is a remake of the 2010 Netherlands film, which was a remake of the 2008 Belgian film of the same name and was actually filmed in the summer of 2011. The movie was widely panned and made little noise at the box office but I'm a sucker for a whodunnit. The other three people in the theater weren't impressed but I found it to be a welcome addition to my never-ending list of guilty pleasures. Tracking down the locations was a bit of a labor of love as there was no information besides the film being shot in The Big Easy. But thanks to some clues ;-) from onlocationvacations.com, I was able to solve a few mysteries.
