Welcome!
This blog is for film and television buffs who are
interested in seeing what the actual filming locations look like today.
I was born in the late 70's, so my focus is primarily on movies, television shows and music videos from the 80's and 90's, with a special
appreciation for horror flicks.
For me, it all started back in 1999, when I spent a semester in Los Angeles. I headed straight to South Pasadena to visit the few then-known locations for my favorite movie of all time - Halloween (1978). After years of living in Los Angeles, New York City and Atlanta, I've taken many photos so I thought I would assemble them all here. I hope some of my favorites are some of yours.

DeleteGreetings, Brian!
ReplyDeleteJust found your site and wanted to let you know what an amazing job I think you're doing with it. As someone who has also made their way to various filming locations across the country, I know that our hobby can be a lot of work, but the rewards are great when you finally find that location you've been looking for and are able to finally visit it. I plan on doing something similar to what you've done here, but only in video form. Do you take requests for locations that haven't been uncovered? Keep up the terrific work!
Best,
Charles
Thanks for the kind words, Charles. Please let me know when you have your videos up. I'd like to see them. I'm not a huge google expert but feel free to email me what locations you are looking for.

Brian

DeleteI've become obsessed with "Ozark." Thank you so much for identify some of the key filming locations. Thanks for doing what you do!!!! Excellent!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words Angie! I visited the Snell House and Barn last month. Hope to post pictures soon!
DeleteThis blog is Just Awesome. I really liked it.I have looking forward to see the new article in future. Great Post !! Cheers !!
ReplyDeleteI love visiting TV show homes, however I have not ever been able to find out where the house is from the Blossom opening credits! I have Googled everywhere! I did ask Joey Lawrence in person and he thought it was a real house, maybe Sherman Oaks area, but he wasn't sure where. Any ideas on how I can find out?
ReplyDeleteI have not researched the Russo House yet though it looks very Studio City-ish like some houses on Farmdale, Agnes and Ben Avenues.
DeletePlease can you do some UK ones? Like where are the terraced (row) houses seen in the intros to both Queen's I Want To Break Free and 80s Coronation Street. Also Don't Get Me Wrong by the Pretenders and sth American: Burning Up by Madonna (the street scene). Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteI hope to get to the UK soon. Got plenty on my list including Wham!, Culture Club and Rick Astley. I will look into researching the ones you've listed.
DeleteHi! I'm interested in knowing the location of Annie's townhouse in The First Wives club but haven't been able to find much. All I know is that it's located in the Upper East of Manhattan, so maybe that helps you out. I'd appreciate any information you may have! It seems to be the one location that gets skipped over in most articles that I read. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is still on my search list. There is not too much to go off of in that scene. I did track down and visit Elise Elliot and Cynthia Swann Griffin's buildings so I will be posting those soon.
DeleteThis is fantastic! With so many recent shows filmed in GA, there’s a lot of familiar places (and many not so familiar) to track down. Not sure if you have Good Girls listed here. I only watched it because it wa staled locally and I started taking screenshots and matching them up with real life photos after I saw Stone Mountain in a scene from the Canadian border. I also have pics from the Jennifer Aniston/Dolly Parton movie Dumplin’ and more from Stranger Things. Keep it up! This is so much fun :)
ReplyDeleteThanks visiting Alyssa! Definitely more to come.
DeleteGlad I found this! Thanks for all the memory reminders!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!

information and news
hello there i'm a big fan of your blog and was wondering if you could answer a question for me do you have any information regarding jason's shack from friday the 13th part 2? i read on another blog there was a video somewhere on youtube but it was unavailable just wanted to know what the place loks like after all these years
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting! Someone had commented on that video that a crew member confirmed Jason's shack was torn down after filming. Even if it wasn't, I couldn't see it withstanding Superstorm Sandy or any of the hurricanes or blizzards the area has seen over the years.
